CLEVELAND — Kent State junior Brynn Libler has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Libler extended her hitting streak to 12 games and posted a .556/.600/.833 slash to lead the Golden Flashes over five games last week. The lefty recorded three multi-hit games, including a 4-for-4 performance in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Buffalo. She had big hits in both of Kent State's victories, starting with a two-run homer to take the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth inning of Game 1 against the Bulls. In the weekend finale against Northern Illinois, Libler had a RBI single and scored during a seven-run bottom of the sixth.
Kent State will travel to Western Michigan for a three-game series this weekend.
