About the Flashes
Kent State is coming off a 13-3 road win over Youngstown State on Tuesday in which it recorded season-high totals for hits (16) and stolen bases (4). All nine starters had a hit and five Golden Flashes had multiple hits. Sophomore Aaralyn Nogay led the way with four hits, four runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases. Redshirt sophomore Kendal Leitner tied her career-high with three hits.
Leitner ranks sixth in the MAC with a .385 batting average and has been on a tear over the past month. She is hitting .405 with three home runs and 15 RBIs during April. Junior Brynn Libler is one of the hottest hitters in the conference. Libler has a 13-game hitting streak and is hitting .426 against MAC pitchers.
Senior Delaney Robeson leads the team with 30 RBIs and is one of four Flashes with four home runs to share the team lead. Robeson moved into the top-10 in program history for RBIs during last week's doubleheader against Buffalo and is currently ninth with 92. She has hit 18 home runs in a Kent State uniform and will tie Brittney Robinson (2004-07) and Mary Holt (2009-12) for 10th with her next long ball.
Freshman Ella Johnson ranks seventh in the country with 37 appearances and has a team-high 59 strikeouts.
