
De Coninck’s Long Jump Victory Leads Flashes in Friday Track and Field Action

Svenia De Coninck won the women's long jump at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational on Friday as Kent State began weekend competition.

De Coninck recorded a personal-best mark of 19'-2.75" on her third attempt before passing on each of her final three turns.
On the track, the Golden Flashes had standout performances in both 200-meter races. Jaheim Jones ran a season-best time of 20.85 seconds for second place in the men's race. Sean Callahan Jr. finished fourth with a season-best time of 21.05 seconds.
Amryne Chilton set a wind-legal PR of 23.64 seconds in the women's 200m to match the second fastest time in Kent State history. Chilton placed third in the race.
Ashland Alumni Open
Donovan Crawford unleashed a personal-best throw of 198'-6" to place third in the invite section of men's hammer.
In the women's hammer throw, Noel Frye led the Flashes in fourth place with a mark of 165'-10". Kennedy Landrus was right behind with a throw of 165'-0" for fifth.
