Williams Plays Hero as Flashes Walk Off Raiders

KENT- The Kent State Golden Flashes baseball team closed out the home portion of their schedule with a 9-8 walk off win over the Wright State Raiders on Tuesday night.
The win marks the second in a row via the walk off for the Flashes following Dom Kibler's walk off homer on Sunday.
The two in-state rivals each scored single tallies in the first two innings with Kent State scoring on a Hayden Jatczak RBI double and a Hunter Klotz homer.
Write State would score one in the fourth and two more in the fifth to jump out to a 5-2 lead.
Kent State would score two in the bottom seventh on a pair of productive out by Luke Matthews and Jatczak.
The Raiders would add three more in the eighth to make it 8-4. But the Flashes would get three runs of their own in the home half of the inning on a three-run bases clearing pinch hit double by Ripken Reese.
The Flashes would walk it off in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and down to their last strike. Brody Williams battled with three foul balls before sending a two-run walk off single just inside the right field line.
On Deck for the Flashes
Kent state will hit the road to close out the regular season against Eastern Michigan. The Flashes and Eagles are set for a 3 p.m. first pitch on Thursday, 2 p.m. on Friday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
