KENT, Ohio – Danny Hall, who helped build the foundation of modern Kent State baseball as head coach from 1988-93, has been selected for induction into the 2026 College Baseball Hall of Fame, the College Baseball Foundation (CBF) announced Thursday.
Hall went 208-117 in his six seasons at the helm in Kent, leading the Golden Flashes to two 40-win seasons, two MAC Championships, and two NCAA Regional appearances. His success in Kent launched a coaching career that continued at Georgia Tech from 1994 to 2025, cementing his place among the sport's most accomplished leaders.
Hall is one of 21 inductees in the 2026 College Baseball Hall of Fame class, joining a group headlined by former MLB stars Buster Posey, Barry Bonds, Jeff Brantley, Marquis Grissom, and Dave Stegman.
The 2026 class will be formally inducted at the Night of Champions on February 11, 2027, in Overland Park, Kansas, home of the College Baseball Hall of Fame. The College Baseball Hall of Fame inducted its first class in 2006, and with this year's group, 217 players, coaches, umpires, administrators, and contributors will have been honored.
