
Bath and Hall Win Gold on Day 2 at MAC Outdoor T&F Championships

ATHENS, Ohio – Kent State's Ayden Bath and Amare Hall won individual titles on Friday as Kent State moved into second in the team standings at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Men's Track and Field Championship.
Bath repeated as decathlon champion with 7,296 points, the highest score at the conference meet since 2019. The Vermilion, Ohio native increased his lead by taking first in each of the day's first three events. After clocking a season-best time of 13.95 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, he posted new personal-best marks in the discus throw (134'-1") and pole vault (14'-11"). Mason Murphy (5,944) and Joel Enander (5,778) also scored in the multis event and finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
Led by Hall's PR of 25'-4" that puts him second on the program's all-time performance list, the Golden Flashes totaled 20 points in the long jump. Alexandre Malanda was close behind in second with a huge personal-best jump of 25'-3.25" that puts him third all-time. Nicolas Saviron placed fifth with a collegiate-best mark of 23'-7.50".
Charles Pawlosky claimed the No. 9 spot on Kent State's all-time performance list with a throw of 59'-4.75" to finish second in the shot put. Tony Lambert also posted a PR and finished fifth with a mark of 53'-1.50".
Bath (110m hurdles) and Jaheim Jones (100m dash) recorded the fastest times during prelims races on Friday, as the Flashes had 11 additional athletes advanced to Saturday's running finals.
The final day of competition begins at 12:30 p.m. with the discus throw and high jump. Running events will start at with the 4x100-meter relay at 1 p.m.
