
Field Hockey Officially Announces Seven Signees

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State field hockey team officially announced seven new additions to the 2025 roster on Thursday. All seven players are part of the incoming 2025 freshman class and will be on the roster for head coach Heather Hefner's second season at the helm of the Flashes.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome these seven incredible young women to our team this fall!" Hefner said. "They bring with them a wide range of experiences and strengths, each adding something unique to our program. Their passion, competitive spirit, and relentless energy align perfectly with our purpose: to play for something bigger than ourselves. We are confident these young women will enrich our program both on and off the field, and we can't wait for them to arrive!"
Julianne Conroy
Club: FH Life
Conroy is a native of Worthington, Ohio. In 2024, she was named to the All-Ohio First Team by the Central Ohio Field Hockey Coaches Association and the Ohio High School Athletic Association. She was a part of a Central Ohio Field Hockey League state championship team and MAX Field Hockey Championship Team. In 2023, she earned All-Midwest Region Second Team honors and National Academic Squad distinction from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Conroy tallied seven goals, 12 assists, and two defensive saves in the 2024 season. She also provided 16 assists in 2023 and 17 assists in 2022.
Torie Del Collo – Forward/Midfielder
Club: WC Eagles
Del Collo is a native of Barrington, New Jersey. She earned First Team All-Colonial Conference honors in 2023 and 2024 and was named Third Team All-Group Two in 2023. Del Collo accumulated 161 points in her high school career, including 62 goals and 37 assists.
Adelaide Gagnon – Forward
Club: Blue Stripe Field Hockey Club
Gagnon hails from State College, Pennsylvania. As a high school athlete, she earned Second Team Mid-Penn Conference honors in 2024 and was named an honorable mention in 2023. As a senior captain, Gagnon scored 11 goals and provided 18 assists, improving on an eight-goal, seven-assist performance as a junior.
Emily Robertson – Defender
Club: Doncaster Hockey Club
Robertson joins the Flashes from Melbourne, Australia. Prior to collegiate field hockey, she earned the field hockey MVP award in three consecutive years, was a three-year captain, and received the academic endeavor award. Robertson also served as a captain on her club's U12, U14, and U16 teams.
Roos Ten Pas – Defender
Club: Hockey Club IJsseloever
Ten Pas comes to Kent from the Netherlands, where she won a national school field hockey championship in 2024, participating in the event all four years of school. For club, she played at the Super A level in 2024. Ten Pas comes from an athletic background, with both of her parents having been involved with the Dutch national rowing team.
Floortje Van Eijden - Goalkeeper
Club: 'T Spandersbosch
Van Eijden is the second signee to make her way to Kent from the Netherlands. She will play in the cage for the Flashes, a position she is very comfortable with, having won goalkeeper of the year playing for her club in her home country. Van Eijden has also competed in tennis, skiing, snowboarding, and sailing alongside field hockey as an amateur athlete.
Ryli Zee – Midfielder
Club: WC Eagles
Zee is the second New Jersey native in Kent State's 2025 class, hailing from Washington Township. In high school, she was a three-time field hockey MVP, an all-region team selection, a two-time New Jersey all-state group four selection, a three-time all-conference selection, and an AP scholar of distinction. For club, Zee is a five-time NIT champion, RCC champion, and NCC champion. Her mother, Kerri, played four years of collegiate field hockey at York College.
