Field Hockey Announces 2025 Promotional Schedule

KENT, Ohio β The promotional schedule for Kent State field hockey's five-game home slate has been announced ahead of the team's season-opener on Friday afternoon.
The team will kick off the 2025 season on Friday afternoon, August 29, at 4 p.m. as they welcome Mercyhurst to Murphy-Mellis Field. To celebrate the home opener, the first 150 fans will receive free Handel's ice cream. The Flashes' following home contest will be on Friday, September 26, at 2 p.m., as MAC play gets into full swing against Miami. The game will be the team's Cancer Awareness Game, featuring a colored bracelet giveaway and a fundraiser for cancer awareness.
Next up, the Flashes will host Alumni Day on Sunday, October 5, at 12:00 p.m. against Longwood. Attendees will receive powder blue poms and cowbells to cheer on the team. Kent State's penultimate home tie is set for Friday, October 17, as Ohio comes to town at 2:00 p.m. for Mental Health Awareness Day, featuring a stress ball giveaway at the end of the game. The Flashes will celebrate Senior Day ahead of the team's final home game of 2025 against James Madison on October 26 at noon. Senior day will feature a giveaway of the highly demanded "Everyone Watches Kent State Women's Sports" shirt.
