Kent State Football to Face USF Bulls in 2026

KENT, Ohio – Kent State University has announced that the Golden Flashes football program will travel to Tampa to face the University of South Florida Bulls on October 17, 2026, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The matchup against USF represents a significant addition to Kent State's 2026 schedule as the Golden Flashes continue to build their non-conference slate with quality opponents from across the country.
The October 17 contest at USF is part of a challenging non-conference schedule for the Golden Flashes in 2026. Kent State will also travel to face the South Carolina Gamecocks on September 5 and the Ohio State Buckeyes on September 19.
The Flashes will look to improve on their 2025 season after posting the fourth-largest turnaround in FBS football, increasing their win total by five.
