
Ibit and Haynes lead Golden Flashes to Finish at Hal Williams Collegiate

Isaiah Ibit was the definition of steady, finishing each round at even par to lead Kent State at the Hal Williams Collegiate, hosted by South Alabama on Monday and Tuesday in Mobile, Alabama.
Ibit paced the Golden Flashes with a 210 (E), while Nolan Haynes followed close behind at 211 (+1). Haynes opened Monday by playing his first 18 holes at 2-under par, then slipped to 3-over on the second round of the day before bouncing back with an even-par 70 in the final round to match Kent State's best score of Tuesday.
Liam Curtis placed 61st at 217 (+7), Darcy Hogg finished 66th at 219 (+9), and James Newton rounded out the Kent State lineup in 76th at 224 (+14).
Competing as an individual, Ramiro Acevedo led the Kent State contingent with a 209 (-1), while Christoffer Leuenhagen also played as an individual and carded a 213 (+3).
Ryan Voois of Illinois and Rudy Sautron of Nebraska shared medalist honors, while Illinois captured the team title.
