Kent State Men's Golf Reveals 2026-27 Schedule

KENT, Ohio – Kent State head coach Jon Mills and the Herb Page Men's Golf program announced their 2026-27 schedule today. The Golden Flashes' season includes four events in the fall and seven in the spring. The slate takes the team through nine different states and across the Canadian border.
The Golden Flashes are coming off a 2025-26 campaign that placed them 4th in the MAC Championships. The Men's Golf program has been strong recently with two MAC titles and a trio of top-three MAC finishes over the last five seasons.
Kent State opens the 2026-27 season at the Canadian Collegiate (Sept. 13-15) in Foot's Bay, Ontario. The Golden Flashes finished 6th in the event last year. The fall schedule then heads back to the U.S with the Gopher Invitational (Sept. 20-21) and the Fighting Irish Intercollegiate (Oct. 4-5). The team is experienced in both Midwestern events, having competed in them in nearly every season since 2020.
The final fall event is the Bank of Tennessee (Oct. 19-21), hosted by Eastern Tennessee State. The Golden Flashes last participated in the event back in 2022, placing in 9th with a pair of individual performances under par.
The spring season gets underway on Feb. 5 with an exhibition Kent State Alumni Match. The only other February event takes place Valentine's Day weekend in Mobile, Ala. with the Hal Williams Invitational. March then brings a pair of events in South Carolina with the Michael Marino Invitational (March 15-17) and Hootie at Bulls Bay (March 28-30). Kent State competed in both events last season, finishing in 12th and 11th place.
April is the busiest month of the season for the Golden Flashes as they travel to Columbia, Mo. (Apr. 5-6), Bridgeport, W.Va. (Apr. 12-13), and Urbana, Ill. (Apr. 24-25). The season concludes with the 2027 MAC Championships (Apr. 30-May 2) taking place at Talis Park in Naples, Fla.
