
Golden Flashes Post a 195.075 at TWU Quad Meet

DENTON, Texas – The Kent State gymnastics team finished fourth at the TWU Quad Meet on Sunday afternoon, posting a 195.075 at Kitty Magee Arena. Host TWU won the meet with a 195.975, followed by Oregon State (195.775) and Arizona State (195.550).
The Golden Flashes struggled on balance beam and floor exercise but delivered solid performances on vault and bars in the four-team competition.
ROTATION 1 – BEAM
Kent State opened with its lowest score of the day, posting a 48.325 on balance beam. Gabby Riley tied for sixth in the meet with a 9.825, while Heidi Schultz tied for eighth with a 9.800. Dani Fuertez contributed a 9.725 for fifteenth place, and Nene Alvine added a 9.625.Â
ROTATION 2 – FLOOR
The Golden Flashes posted a 48.825 on floor exercise. Charlie Behner tied for fourth in the event with a 9.850, matching Oregon State's Reina Marchal and Arizona State's Halle Gregoire. Dani Fuertez tied for eighth with a 9.825, while Nastia Rudnitskaya tied for eleventh with a 9.800. Heidi Schultz contributed a 9.725, and Zoe Rankin added a 9.625.Â
ROTATION 3 – VAULT
Kent State bounced back on vault with a 48.925. Jersey Bingman tied for first in the meet with a 9.850, matching TWU'sSophia Isbell, Oregon State's Olivia Buckner, and Arizona State's Kimberly Smith. Sophia Balko tied for fifth with a 9.825, while Charlie Behner posted a 9.800 for ninth place. Mya Migliore and Taylor Archambeau each tied for nineteenth with 9.725s, and Zoe Rankin rounded out the rotation with a 9.675.
ROTATION 4 – BARS
The Flashes closed the meet with their highest score of the day, a 49.000 on uneven bars. Heidi Schultz tied for third in the event with a 9.850, just 0.050 behind Oregon State's Ellie Weaver and Arizona State's Kimberly Smith. Sophia Balko, Nastia Rudnitskaya, Lana Mast, and Taylor Archambeau all contributed solid scores, with Balko and Rudnitskaya each posting 9.800s and Mast and Archambeau adding 9.775s. Charlie Behner completed the rotation with a 9.750.
