
Golden Flashes Defeat Bowling Green 195.600-192.875 on Senior Day

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State gymnastics team celebrated Senior Day with a dominant 195.600-192.875 victory over Mid-American Conference rival Bowling Green on Sunday afternoon at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center in front of 1,540 fans.
The Golden Flashes posted their second-highest score of the season while honoring their senior class, winning three of four events to secure the win.
ROTATION 1 – VAULT
Kent State opened strong with a season-best 49.100 on vault. Sophia Balko and Charlie Behner both tied for first in the meet with 9.850s, while Jersey Bingman and Taylor Archambeau each posted 9.825s to tie for third. Avery Compson contributed a 9.750, and Mya Migliore rounded out the rotation with a 9.700 as the Flashes built an early 0.575-point lead over the Falcons.
ROTATION 2 – BARS
The Golden Flashes posted a 48.725 on uneven bars. Charlie Behner led the way with a 9.800, while Lana Mast and Nastia Rudnitskaya each contributed 9.775s. Taylor Archambeau added a 9.750, and Sophia Balko scored a 9.625.Â
ROTATION 3 – BEAM
Kent State matched its bars score with a 48.725 on balance beam. Heidi Schultz posted the top score of the meet with a 9.900, while Gabby Riley contributed a 9.800. Dani Fuertez added a 9.700, and Ashley Morgan scored a 9.675. Zoe Rankin contributed a 9.650.
ROTATION 4 – FLOOR
The Flashes closed the meet with a strong 49.050 on floor exercise, which was also their best this season. Jersey Bingman tied for second in the event with a 9.875, matching Bowling Green's Kayla Shaw. Heidi Schultz posted a 9.850 for fourth place, while Dani Fuertez contributed a 9.800. Charlie Behner added a 9.775, Nastia Rudnitskaya scored a 9.750, and Zoe Rankin rounded out the rotation with a 9.725.
