
Golden Flashes finish with a 194.125 in loss at Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kent State gymnastics team fell to Western Michigan 195.575-194.125 on Sunday afternoon.Â
ROTATION 1 – BARS
The Golden Flashes opened with their highest score of the day with a 49.150 on uneven bars. Heidi Schultz won the event with a 9.850, while Charlie Behner, Sophia Balko, Taylor Archambeau, and Nastia Rudnitskaya all tied for second with 9.825s. Lana Mast rounded out the rotation with a 9.775.
ROTATION 2 – VAULT
Kent State followed with a strong 49.000 on vault. Jersey Bingman won the event with a 9.850, while Charlie Behner and Sophia Balko both tied for second with 9.825s. Taylor Archambeau also posted a 9.800 for third place, and Mya Migliore, Avery Compson, and Allie Call each contributed 9.700s.Â
ROTATION 3 – FLOOR
The Flashes finished floor with a 48.900. Charlie Behner tied for first in the event with a 9.875, matching WMU's Brooke Gelesko. Heidi Schultz tied for second with a 9.850, while Jersey Bingman and Nastia Rudnitskaya both tied for fourth with 9.750s. Zoe Rankin contributed a 9.675.
ROTATION 4 – BEAM
Kent State posted its lowest score of the season with a 47.075 on balance beam. Heidi Schultz led the way with a 9.800 for second place in the meet, while Anika Most contributed a 9.775 for third. Nene Alvine added a 9.625, and Gabby Riley scored a 9.450 as the Flashes fell behind Western Michigan.

The Flashes return home to the MAC Center for their home finale on Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m. Eastern vs. Eastern Michigan. The meet will mark head coach Brice Biggin's final home competition after 35 seasons leading the Kent State gymnastics program.
