
Kent State Posts Best Home Score of Season in Biggin’s Final MAC Center Meet

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State gymnastics team celebrated head coach Brice Biggin's final meet in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center with a 195.875-194.150 victory over Eastern Michigan on Sunday afternoon in front of 1,160 fans.
The Golden Flashes posted their best home performance of the season while honoring Biggin, who is retiring after 35 seasons leading the program. Kent State won three of four events and received a career-high performance from senior Charlie Behner on uneven bars.
ROTATION 1 – VAULT
Kent State opened with a 49.025 on vault. Sophia Balko won the event with a 9.850, while Jersey Bingman and Taylor Archambeau both tied for second with 9.825s. Allie Call contributed a 9.800, and Avery Compson and Charlie Behner each posted 9.725s.
ROTATION 2 – BARS
The Golden Flashes posted their highest score of the day with a 49.175 on uneven bars. Charlie Behner won the event with a career-high 9.925, the top score in the meet. Heidi Schultz and Nastia Rudnitskaya both tied for third with 9.850s, while Taylor Archambeau added a 9.800 for fifth place. Lana Mast contributed a 9.750, and Sophia Balko rounded out the rotation with a 9.650.
ROTATION 3 – BEAM
Kent State posted a 48.500 on balance beam. Heidi Schultz finished second in the meet with a 9.875, just 0.025 behind EMU's Kyrie Lowe. Gabby Riley and Mya Migliore both tied for fourth with 9.825s, while Nene Alvine contributed a 9.550.
ROTATION 4 – FLOOR
The Flashes closed the meet with a 49.175 on floor exercise. Zoe Rankin won the event with a season-high 9.900, while Jersey Bingman finished second with a 9.875. Charlie Behner tied for third with a 9.825, matching EMU's Macy Nihart and Abby Brushwood. Nastia Rudnitskaya posted a 9.800 for sixth place, Heidi Schultz contributed a 9.775, and Emma Masse rounded out the rotation with a 9.750.
