
Golden Flashes Finish Third at MAC Championships, Behner Medals in Two Events

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Kent State gymnastics team finished third at the 2026 Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Stroh Center, posting a 195.325.
Senior Charlie Behner earned two individual medals, winning vault and placing second on floor in the final MAC Championships of her career.
ROTATION 1 – BARS
Kent State opened with a 48.450 on uneven bars. Nastia Rudnitskaya and Charlie Behner both tied for tenth in the meet with 9.750s, while Sophia Balko posted a 9.725 for seventeenth. Lana Mast contributed a 9.625, while Heidi Schultz added a 9.600.
ROTATION 2 – BEAM
The Golden Flashes posted a 48.725 on balance beam. Anika Most and Nene Alvine both tied for fourteenth with 9.775s, while Heidi Schultz tied for eighteenth with a 9.750. Mya Migliore contributed a 9.725 for twenty-second place, and Gabby Riley added a 9.700 for twenty-fourth.
ROTATION 3 – FLOOR
The Flashes posted their first 49 of the afternoon on floor with a 49.125. Charlie Behner tied for second in the event with a 9.900, just 0.025 behind Bowling Green's Keira Thornton. Heidi Schultz tied for fourth with a 9.875, matching four other gymnasts. Emma Masse tied for ninth with a 9.850, while Jersey Bingman posted a 9.775 for twenty-sixth place. Nastia Rudnitskaya contributed a 9.725.
ROTATION 4 – VAULT
Kent State had a strong vault rotation, scoring 49.025. Charlie Behner tied for first in the meet with a 9.850, sharing the top spot with five other gymnasts. Jersey Bingman tied for seventh with a 9.825, while Sophia Balko and Allie Call both tied for twelfth with 9.800s. Taylor Archambeau contributed a 9.750.
