Last Time Out
Most recently the Golden Flashes went 0-5 at the 2026 Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, falling to USF twice, St. Thomas twice, and host #7 Alabama (Feb. 27-March 1). Leilani Johnson provided a highlight-reel moment with a home run against USF in the team's first game of the weekend. Aaralyn Nogay was a consistent spark plug at the top of the lineup recording hits in multiple games and showing speed on the base paths with several stolen bases throughout the Classic.
Scouting UMass
UMass enters their first Mid-American Conference series with an overall record of 7-12. Like Kent State they were off this past weekend having played four games in Madeira Beach going 1-3. The Minutewomen won against Bellarmine, while falling to Bethune-Cookman, Monmouth, and Illinois State. Odyssey Torres has been the standout of the lineup hitting .409 with eight doubles and a .705 slugging percentage, and Brooke Musch has been a reliable table-setter at .361 with 11 stolen bases. The Minutewomen are batting .247 as a team. The UMass pitching staff carries a 4.65 ERA. The team has committed 23 errors in 19 games compared to just 21 for their opponents. Hannah Streicher has shouldered a lot of the pitching load posting a 3-5 record with a 3.37 ERA. Noteworthy is that opponents have gone a perfect 34-for-34 on stolen base attempts against the Minutewomen.
