Transfer Godslove Nwabude Joins Kent State Men’s Basketball

KENT – Transfer forward Godslove Nwabude has joined Kent State Men's Basketball. The Anambra State, Nigeria native will join the Golden Flashes for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
Nwabude comes to Kent State University from Eastern Michigan University where he spent the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons. This past year he made 33 appearances including 30 starts for the Eagles. He tallied 178 points (5.4 per game), 181 rebounds (5.5 per game), 48 blocks, and 17 steals. He recorded a double-double on Nov. 28 against NJIT scoring 12 with 14 rebounds. Additionally, he dropped a career high 16 points on Feb. 17 vs. Central Michigan. Prior to Eastern Michigan Nwabude played at Nt. Zion Prep.
"I'm excited to add a player with Godslove's experience and basketball attributes.", said coach Senderoff. "He has shown improvement over his two years at EMU, and I think he will continue to get better here at Kent State! I can't wait to work with him."
