
Women’s Track and Field Posts Four All-Time Top 10 Marks on Day 2 at MAC Championships

MUNCIE, Ind. – Four athletes recorded marks that rank in the top 10 in program history on Friday as Kent State continued action at the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women's Track and Field Championships.
The Golden Flashes earned 13 points in the heptathlon, as all three competitors finished the multis event with a new personal-best score. Matilde Carboncini (5,131) placed third and Matilde Morbin (5,096) placed fourth with points totals that sit sixth and seventh, respectively, on Kent State's all-time performance list. Alexa Nestor (4,773) finished seventh.
Amryne Chilton moved to second all-time in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.60. Camille Dunifer clocked the No. 9 800-meter run time and crossed the finish line in 2:08.18. Both runners advanced to finals on Saturday and will be joined by five teammates. Ainhoa Reparaz Sanchez advanced in the 100m, Gabrielle Hammonds and Keeli Dunaway in the 100-meter hurdles and Casey Musgrave and Grace Alls in the 400-meter dash.
The Flashes sit third in the team standings with 39.5 points.
The discus throw will get the final day of the championship meet started at 9 a.m.
