Kent, Ohio– The Kent State Soccer Team announced their schedule for the upcoming fall 2026 season on Friday. The slate includes 10 games on the road and nine at home inside Zoeller field at Dix Stadium. It also includes a season-opening exhibition match against Mercyhurst at home on August 8th.
The Golden Flashes start the 2026 campaign at home, opening up the season with the Cleveland State Vikings for the third straight season. They will then play the next two on the road starting at the University of Kentucky before they come back to Northeast Ohio to visit on Youngstown State.
The Flashes return home on August 23rd for a big matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks of the Big 12. A week later they will pay a visit to Duquesne to try and avenge a loss from last season before two home games against Oakland and Cornell. Non-conference play will conclude on September 11th, when the blue and gold travel down to Lubbock, Texas to take on Texas Tech.
Kent State will open up their Mid-American Conference schedule against the Toledo Rockets on the road on September 17th. Following a trip to Western Ohio, the Golden Flashes will host the Miami Redhawks before a visit to the University of Massachusetts on September 27th.
The Flashes will start a tough stretch of MAC play on the first of October when Western Michigan comes to the town. KSU will follow that up with consecutive trips to Eastern Michigan and Ohio before a three-game homestand against Ball State, Bowling Green and Akron. The blue and gold will play their last two games on the road against the Buffalo Bulls, while wrapping up at Central Michigan on November 1st.
The Mid-American Conference Tournament will once again be held in Columbus at Historic Crew Stadium from November 7-13 as they try to get back to the final six for the 19th time in 27 years as a program.
