Leah Shaffer Earns MAC Goalkeeper Of The Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Senior goalkeeper Leah Shaffer has earned Mid-American Conference Co-Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday.
Leah Shaffer played in all 90 minutes in a scoreless draw against Cornell at home. She was able to produce eight saves, which was tied for her second best performance in terms of saves in a game.
The Rochester, New York native faced 14 shots in net on Sunday in her first game of the season where she played the complete game. Last year Shaffer finished the season with 73 saves, starting in all 20 games.
Shaffer and the Flashes will return to action on Friday night for their final non-conference game of the season when they take on the Texas Tech Raiders of the Big 12 for an 8 P.M. ET start time.
