Rothrock Garners Second MAC Specialist of the Week Honor

CLEVELAND- Sophomore Erin Rothrock (York, Pa./York Catholic) was named Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week for the second time this season. This past Friday (March 5), the Kent State gymnastics team recorded a season-high team score but fell to 15th-ranked Kentucky 196.050-195.950.
Rothrock claimed her third bars title of the year with a 9.850. Rothrock holds a .04 edge over her nearest competitor in the Mid-American with an average bar score of 9.807 this season. She is third in the conference with a regional qualifying score on bars of 9.790.
Kent State returns to action Sunday (March 14) when it hosts Bowling Green. The Falcons and Golden Flashes are both 4-0 in the conference and the winner is guaranteed at least a share of the MAC regular season crown.
