KENT STATE HONORS AND AWARDS
• 2017 Academic All-MAC
2017 JUNIOR SEASON
• Went 2-0 with a 2.69 ERA in 19 appearances, including three starts
• Struck out 38 and walked 22 in 38.2 innings
• Earned five saves and contributed to two shutouts
• Went 2.0 innings in KSU debut. Did not give up a hit while walking just one and striking out three
• Did not give up a run in next two outings, 2.2 frames at FIU and 2.2 against Wake Forest
• Started against Pittsburgh. Went 5.0 innings with three hits, no earned runs, two walks and five strikeouts
• Followed that with 5.2 innings with no earned runs at Purdue. Did not give up a walk while striking out five
• Struck out three in 1.2 innings against Toledo with no hits
• Gave up just one hit in 4.0 innings against Central Michigan with one walk and five strikeouts
• Finished the season with eight-straight outings with no runs and just one hit in that span
• Earned Ty Youngen Memorial Baseball Scholarship
2016 SEASON
• Redshirted due to NCAA transfer rule
PRIOR TO KENT STATE
• Played at Kentucky
• Named to Dean's List in the spring of 2014 and Dean's List with Distinction in the Fall of 2015
• Lettered four years at Defiance High School
• Team won the league, district, regional and state championship his senior year by going 31-1
• Had a .45 ERA as a senior and went 10-0 in 62 innings with 109 strikeouts
• Also hit .437 with 5 homeruns, 37 RBI and a .701 slugging percentage his final year
• Was named a Louisville Slugger All-American, Under Armor All-American, Perfect Game First Team All-Region, Rawlings First Team All-Region and the D2 Player of the Year as a senior
• As a junior, was First Team All-District, All-League and All-State by going 9-2 with a 1.13 ERA in 62 innings with 87 strikeouts
• Also batted .442 with 7 homeruns, 45 RBI and a .811 slugging percentage that year
• Also posted impressive numbers on the mound as a sophomore with a .95 ERA in 29 innings with 40 strikeouts
• Was an Honor Roll student every year
• Also played for the Napoleon River Bandits, Ohio Elite and Midland Redskins while in high school
