• Hicks was named Defensive player of the week in the MAC East for his outstanding performance against Bowling Green
•Hicks led the Flashes in tackles with fourteen, including six solo tackles

2017 Sophomore Season
• Played in eight games
• Made nine tackles
• Missed the non-conference portion of the schedule with an injury and made first appearance against Buffalo (9/30)
• Recorded two tackles against Ohio (10/21), Bowling Green (10/31), and Akron (11/21)
