2009 Freshman Season
Named to the All-MAC Second Team and the MAC all-tournament squad…led the team with a .353 average and 161 assists…went 3-for-4 in the first game of a three-game sweep of Northern Illinois (4/3)…had a hit in all five at-bats at Ohio (4/25) with a double and his first collegiate home run, scored five runs and drove in three more…against Duquesne (4/29), hit his first career grand slam and scored three runs…had seven hits in 17 at-bats with four runs scored and an RBI in the MAC Tournament…went 2-for-10 with three runs scored in the NCAA tournament…in summer league action with the Columbia Blowfish of the Coastal Plains League, hit .207 with 28 hits…led the Blowfish in both sacrifice hits (5) and sacrifice flies (4).
Prior to Kent State
Played shortstop for Peters Township High School in Pennsylavania…helped the Indians to a Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League Class AAAA state championship in 2007…named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette All-Section Team his sophomore and junior seasons…was also named All-Region by the Post-Gazette…batted .435 while driving in 31 and scoring 31 runs his junior season…was coached in high school by Joe Maize…also was a member of the Steel City Wildcats, who won a league championship in 2007.
