2014 SEASON
• Led the team with a 1.07 ERA in 16 appearances and 6 starts with a 3-1 record. Tallied 44 strikeouts while walking 23. Held batters to a .161 average
• Set a career milestone when he struck out 12 batters in 5 innings at Youngstown State on Apr. 8. Only allowed two hits and walked two batters
• Was named the starter of the MAC Tournament Championship game where he threw a career-long 6.2 innings giving up just four hits, no runs, one walk and three strikeouts
• Was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Texas Rangers
2013 SEASON
• Threw 4.2 Innings in 2 appearances (1 start).
• Threw three innings against Virginia Tech February 15. Recorded three strikeouts giving up zero runs and one hit.
2012 SEASON
• Threw 33.1 innings in 17 appearances (three starts), finishing with a 5.40 ERA, 3-4 record and a 29/48 bb/so ratio.
• First appearance for Kent State was Feb. 26 at Lipscomb. Pitched one inning with one hit and one strikeout.
• Best and longest start came on March 27 versus Toledo. Went 5.2 innings allowing just one hit, one run and one walk while striking out a career-best 12 batters.
• Struck out four batters and allowed only one hit in a 1.2 inning relief effort against Akron on May 18.
• Secured the 7-6, 21-inning Regional win over Kentucky by striking out the final batter of the game.
PRIOR TO KENT STATE
• Transferred to Kent State by way of North Carolina State.
• Played high school ball for American Heritage High School in Florida for head coach Todd Fitz-Gerald, posting a 9-1 record and a 2.36 ERA as a senior in 2009. Registered 78 strikeouts and held opposing hitters to a .198 batting average, earning second-team all-state honors.
• Transferred to American Heritage from Massillon High School.
• Selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 32nd round of the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
