2009 Freshman Season
Appeared in seven games, throwing 10.1 innings and striking out 14…gave up nine earned runs for a 7.84 ERA…in the summer, went 1-2 in 13 appearances with 14 strikeouts in 15 innings for the Southern Ohio Copperheads.
Prior to Kent State
As a pitcher, helped Walsh Jesuit win the Ohio High School Division II State Baseball Tournament in 2006 and 2008…recorded a 1.90 ERA his senior season…tallied a no-hitter vs. Cleveland Benidictine…named team’s most improved player his junior year…recorded the lowest ERA of any pitcher for the Warriors his sophomore year…teammate with fellow teammates Ross Brunello and David Starn at Walsh Jesuit…coached by Chris Kaczmar while in high school…also played for the Ohio Hurricanes.

Born Feb. 8, 1990…parents are Elaine Roberts and Paul Belair…has five siblings: Jaimee, Ashley, Emma, Kim and Kelsey…father Paul attended Kent State and graduated in 1982…volunteered for four years at the Twin Pines Retreat Home…majoring in finance.
