McClure was hired in August of 2024 as the Director of Pitching Development for the Golden Flashes.
McClure coordinates the program’s internal video, analytics and use of technology to assist with the development of the Kent State pitching staE. His responsibilities include data collection and analysis of all baseball technology, including Yakkertech, Rapsodo, 6-4-3, and PlaySight. McClure also assists with opponent scouting reports as well as on field assistance in the bullpen working directly with pitchers.
McClure spent 3 years at the University of Louisville as a player (2015-2017). In his time as a Cardinal, McClure posted a career 3.29 ERA in 213.1 innings and a record of 21-5. McClure racked up 225 strikeouts in his time at Louisville. Following a College World Series run in 2017, McClure was selected in the 6th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox.
McClure ranks top 10 in school history for wins in a season (12), strikeouts in a season (111), and starts in a season (18). McClure also ranks top 10 in school history for career wins (21), and strikeouts in a career (225).

Following his stellar collegiate playing career, McClure spent parts of 8 seasons in the Minor Leagues with three diEerent professional organizations (Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, and the Pittsburgh Pirates) reaching AAA with all clubs. McClure compiled a 4.4 ERA in 126 games while tallying 401 innings.
McClure is a graduate of the University of Louisville in 2017, with a BS in Communications.
McClure is a native of Mentor, OH and is married to Ryleigh McClure. His wife Ryleigh, a former collegiate athlete as a member of the dance team at the University of Louisville.
