Kevin Frady joined the Golden Flashes baseball staff in the fall of 2022 as the volunteer assistant.

Frady comes to Kent State after serving as the head coach at Southwestern College. He also has coaching stops at West Texas A&M and Independence Community College as an assistant, Mayville College as the hitting and catching coach and at the University of Kansas as the catching coach. A total of 26 Jayhawks were drafted during his time at Kansas. He also served as a scout in the New York Mets organization from 1999-2001 where he scouted and drafted Kent State head coach Jeff Duncan.
