2010 Redshirt Freshman Season Highlights

•Appeared in nine games on the mound in relief duty.

•Recorded an 0-0 pitching mark with a 4.15 ERA with 15 strikeouts over 13.0 innings.

•Struck out a personal season-best three batters twice. Fanned three over two innings in game two of a doubleheader at Wake Forest (2/27) and over 2.2 innings in game one of a doubleheader against Ohio (5/1).

•Did not surrender a run or a hit and struck out two in 2.1 innings of relief work against Pittsburgh (4/7) in a 19-6 Kent State triumph.

•Tossed one scoreless inning and did not allow a hit in addition to two strikeouts in a 5-2 victory for Kent State at Youngstown State (4/27).

•Helped send the Flashes to the MAC title game by throwing one shutout inning vs. Eastern Michigan (5/28) at the MAC Tournament.

•Competed for the Southern Ohio Copperheads of the Great Lakes League in summer ball, posting one win and 15 strikeouts in 13 appearances and 15.2 innings.

•Lettered three years at Salem High School under head coach Aaron Alejars.

•Also played on the Stark County Terriers.

•Born April 6, 1990.

•Son of Robert and Jody Wright. Siblings are Bryan and Ali.

•Father played for the National Football League's Chicago Bears in 1980 and is one of only 13 NFL players to be drafted and earn a doctorate degree.

•Was a member of the National Honor Society and French Club President his junior year while at Salem

•Majoring in psychology.
