2008: Started nine games at catcher in 26 appearances...hit .345 with 10 total hits and eight RBI...posted a .987 fielding percentage with 70 putouts...went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI at Marshall (4/22)...earned two RBI in a 2-4 outing at Miami (5/16).
High School: a four-year letter-winner for the Golden Lions and coach Mike Shade... was first-team all-district as both a junior and senior... named to the all-conference team three times... 2007 Puma pre-season all-american... notched over 100 career hits and set the school record for doubles his senior season... was a part of 06-07 CABA World Series championship teams.
Personal: born Oct. 4 1988... son of Roy and Kathy... has an older sister Kara and younger brother Kevin... had two cousins graduate from Kent State in 2006... named to the honor roll four times... volunteered in several church youth organizations... is undecided on a major at Kent State and chose to enroll at KSU because of the baseball program which he calls one of the best in the country.
