2009 Redshirt Sophomore Season

Appeared on the mound 22 times for the Flashes in 2009…struck out 24 batters in 26.1 innings pitched with a 6.84 ERA and a 3-1 record…in KSU’s NCAA tournament win over Cal Poly in the NCAA Tournament (5/30), forced a 3-6-1 double play to kill a Mustangs rally attempt.…had three strike outs in his first appearance of the season against UNC Greensboro (3/21)…has a win, loss record of 3-1 on the season with an ERA of 7.40…after the season, was drafted in the 38th round (1145th overall) by the Cleveland Indians…played for the Waynesboro Generals of the Valley League over the summer…went 1-2 with a 2.82 ERA in eight appearances (five starts)…had 22 strikeouts in 22.1 innings.

Appeared in 20 games as a relief pitcher…allowed 13 runs in 27.2 innings pitched for a 4.23 ERA…had a 3-0 record on the year…gave up no runs or hits and struck out two in two innings of relief for his first collegiate win against Pittsburgh (3/28)…allowed one hit, no runs and struck out four and allowed no runs in three innings for his second win against Malone (4/17).

High School

Earned three varsity letters at Middletown…named first team all-league as a senior… had a 2.36 ERA with 50 strikeouts during senior season…was coached by Mark Kerns.
