2009 Freshman Season
Made 13 appearances for Kent State on the year with nine starts and a 7.27 ERA in 43.1 innings pitched…picked up his first win of the year against Niagara (3/25), where he allowed one unearned run on four hits over five innings of work…earned the second win of his collegiate career against Marshall (3/25), allowing only two solo home runs over five innings of work…started six games for the Stark County Terriers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, finishing with a 1-3 record and led all starters with a 3.68 ERA…made the GLSCL All-Star game…named GLSCL pitcher of the Week July 7 when he threw six scoreless innings while allowing only three hits against the Southern Ohio Copperheads.
Prior to Kent State
Finished with a 17-5 record in four seasons as a pitcher for Tallmadge High School…named first team All-Suburban League his junior and senior seasons…honorable mention All-SL his sophomore season…helped the Devils to SL championships his freshman, junior and senior seasons…helped Tallmadge finish with a 25-4 record in 2008…was coached by Kenny Linn in high school…also played for the Brownlee Lookouts…lettered for two seasons in golf with Tallmadge.
