- Posted a 1-0 record with a team-high three saves in 14 relief appearances
- Recorded a 3.73 ERA in 31.1 innings of work, striking out 29.
- Held opponents to a .244 average
- Struck out a career-high five batters in back-to-back appearances at Dayton March 26 and against Malone April 2.

- Named First Team All-League, All-District, All-County, and All-State as a senior and was named to the Rawlings Preseason All-Midwest Team
- Went 5-2 on the mound with a 1.47 ERA while hitting .360 with 16 RBIs
- Was Second Team All-League and Preseason All-Ohio as a junior, hitting .340 with 33 RBIs
- Also played for Ohio Elite and Midwest Redbirds

- Father pitched at Mount Vernon Nazarene University and his mom played basketball there
- His uncle Jim Barton pitched at Akron and played professionally in the Chicago White Sox organization
- Enjoys fishing and spending time with family and friends
- Lists his father as the person he most admires because he is the best role model he could ask for an he also introduced him to baseball
- Is creeped out by snakes
- Pre-game ritual is to pray and listen to music
