Mid-American Conference 6th Man of the Year… Started 12 of the first 15 games before taking over as the sixth man… Led the MAC with 43 blocks… Sixth in the MAC in field goal percentage (.538)... Started all 21 games he appeared in... Averaged 8.9 points per game... Second on the team with 6.8 rebounds per game and 25 blocks... Recorded double digit points nine times and double digit rebounds four times... Posted two double-doubles, one against Detroit Mercy (12/9) and one against Central Michigan (1/30)... Posted a career-high 4 blocks against Akron (1/1)... Second-best shot percentage on the team, making 82-of-159 (.516) attempts.

Hamilton attended Independence High School where he was a two-time Southwestern 4A All-Conference pick... He competed in the 2017 Carolinas All-Star Classic and was invited to participate in the USA Basketball Junior National Team mini-camp in the summer of 2016... Hamilton was named a three-star high school player by 247 Sports and was ranked the sixth-best player in North Carolina during his senior year of high school.
