2006: Played in 12 games, making eight starts...had 61 saves and carried a 1.92 goals against average...led the team with a .792 save percentage, ranking second in the conferece...finished with three wins on the season, two of them coming in conference play...named MAC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 9 after making 21 saves in one weekend and earning win against Ohio.
2005: Appeared in seven games, making five starts...finished with a record of one win and two losses....registered two shutouts, a 2-0 victory over Miami Oct. 14 and an eventual 1-0 overtime penalty stroke loss to Missouri State Sept. 30 (did not face strokes)...finished the season with a career-high 28 saves and a 2.74 goals-against-average...named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week onc Oct. 17.
2004: Saw action in one game for the Golden Flashes in her freshman season...stopped both shots she faced.
Prior to Kent State: A 2003 first team all-district, all-region and all-state selection from Virginia Beach, Va....a National High School First Team All-South Region selection, Copeland also was nominated for All-America honors as a senior...helped lead Kempsville High School to the Virginia state finals after claiming the district and regional championships in 2001...was a two-time participant in the Futures Regional Tournament, leading her team to a silver medal during the 2002 U16 National Futures Tournament...in 2002, Copeland participated in the Junior Olympics, Futures Elite, U16 National Indoor Tournament and the National Festival Tournament...also was a member of the Kempsville soccer team for three years and attended “B” camp and “A” camp in 2003 and 2004.
Personal: Born July 15, 1986 ...daughter of William and Debra Copeland...majoring in psychology.
