Coty Burton enters his second season as Kent State's defensive graduate assistant. Burton works with all aspects of the defense with an emphasis on defensive backs.
Prior to Kent State, Burton served as a quality control coach at Coastal Carolina, concentrating on defensive backs.
Burton also worked with the secondary at Clinton-Massie High School in Clarksville, Ohio.
Prior to coaching, Burton was a running back at Ashland University. He later became a student assistant coach at Ashland.
