Eddie Soto is graduate assistant and works with the defensive side of the ball. Soto comes to Kent State from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where was an offensive quality control analyst. Soto assisted the offensive coordinator, position coaches and the rest of the offensive staff. He worked primarily with breaking down film on XOS, creating cut ups, generating reports, evaluating opposing defensive players – with a concentration on opponent linebackers. He was tasked with putting together a weekly comprehensive self-scout report after each game, identifying offensive tendencies that could be exploited in future games.
Soto was also a undergraduate student assistant with the Wildcats where he worked as a defensive quality control assistant. Soto worked with the coordinator and defensive coaches with film breakdown and identifying tendencies on offense, defense and special teams.Â
He graduated from Northwestern with a degree in Economics in 2019 and is pursuing a Master's in Sports Administration at Kent State.Â
