Robinson joined Kent Stateย as the rush ends coach in the spring of 2024.
In his first season with the Flashes, Robinson led a defensive line group with one of the top sackers in the MAC as Kameron Olds ranked seventh in the MAC and 63rd in the nation with six sacks. Olds also had seven tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, and an interception. Stephen Daley was also a major contributor to the defense from the defensive line. Daley led the team with nine tackles for loss and six quarterback hurries. Daley also finished sixth on the team with 51 tackles and added three breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
Before joining Kent State, Robinson was at Pitt, where he was a defensive line graduate assistant since January 2023. Before working with the Panthers, he got his coaching start with the Akron Zips, where he served as a defensive quality control coach. Robinson was a four-year member of the University of Minnesota football team and earned four Academic All-Conference honors. He was also a graduate transfer to Morgan State, earning preseason All-MEAC honors and honor roll accolades.
