Having the experience of playing in all 24 games over the past two seasons, Danny Sadler enters the fall as the starter at the field cornerback spot...very intelligent player who the coaches expect to rely on heavily.
2008 Junior Season
Saw action in all 12 games at defensive back, starting half of them...piled up a career-high 43 tackles, including 23 solo stops...accounted for a career-high seven tackles at Ball State Sept. 27 and Sept. 13 against Delaware State...made five stops, four of them solo, at Iowa State Sept. 6.
2007 Redshirt Sophomore Season
Appeared in all 12 games in the defensive backfield, making starts against Central Michigan Oct. 27 and at Northern Illinois Nov. 10...recorded 31 tackles, 18 solo, as well as two pass break-ups...at Temple Nov. 17, had one TFL for seven yards.
2006 Sophomore Season
Was redshirted.
2005 Freshman Season
Played in four games as a freshman...totaled nine tackles...also had a half tackle for a loss...returned one kickoff for 13 yards...made a season-best four stops in first career game against Northern Illinois Oct. 22...had three tackles at Western Michigan Oct. 29.
Prior to Kent State
Earned three varsity letters at Maple Heights High School, helping Mustangs to three straight Lake Erie League titles...was a two-time All-LEL selection...intercepted five passes as a senior and forced two fumbles...as a junior, had two interceptions and returned a kickoff for a touchdown...had a 90-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown as a freshman...team compiled a 26-7 record in three years...was coached by Jeff Rotsky...also earned four letters in track and field.
