Dave Marquis continues his role as Kent State's defensive graduate assistant after joining the staff in 2008. He previously served as a student assistant for the Golden Flashes from 2003-05 while obtaining his bachelor's degree in secondary education in 2006.
A native of Bridgeville, Pa., Marquis then went to Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. where he served as an assistant coach for two seasons, working with the tight ends.
In his second year at Randolph-Macon, he helped the Yellow Jackets to the biggest turnaround in the NCAA (from 2-8 to 8-2). He previously spent the 2002 season as a volunteer assistant with Cornell (Pa.) High School, working with the linebacking corps.
