• Rated a three-star prospect by 247sports
• Lettered in three seasons at Massillon Washington High School
• Two way standout for the Tigers as a safety and wide receiver
• His senior year part of a team that went 14-1 and reached the OHSAA Division II State Championship game
• Led the Tigers in the state championship game with 15 tackles
• In the OHSAA Division II Playoffs had six catches for 71 yards and a fumble recovery in a win over Cincinnati Winton Woods
• Named to the Northeast Inland All-District Division II Defense First Team his senior year
• Selected a Division II OPSWA All-Ohio Honorable Mention his senior season
• As a junior named to the Northeast Ohio Inland District First Team Defense Team
• Also ran track in high school and during senior season part of sixth place state 400m relay team
• Chose Kent State over Air Force, Army and Toledo
