2008 Junior Season
Led team with five sacks and ranked fifth in tackles with 43, matching his career best...second on team in TFL with 8.5...chalked up three pass breakups...started 11 of 12 games on the defensive line...was a third team All-MAC selection by Phil Steele's Magazine...posted five tackles at Iowa State Sept. 6...forced a fumble on Sept. 13 against Delaware State...racked up a season-high nine stops at Bowling Green Nov. 1, including one for a loss...tallied two sacks Nov. 12 against Temple.
2007 Sophomore Season
Registered 43 stops, 19 solo from his defensive line position...was a big reason Kent State ranked second in the league against the run...was second on the team with 10 TFL for a total of 41 yards...tied for the team lead with five sacks for a loss of 32 yards...had the best game of career Oct. 27 against Central Michigan, posting career-highs for solo (6), assisted (6) and total tackles (12)...blocked a punt at Temple Nov. 17 that was recovered in the end zone for a touchdown, the first blocked punt for KSU since the 2004 season...had one pass break-up against Akron on Sept. 22...also forced a fumble against Delaware State on Sept. 15.
2006 Freshman Season
Played in 10 of Kent State's games as a true freshman, earning the starting job at defensive end the final six games of the season...named team's Defensive Rookie of the Year...registered 18 solo tackles and 35 total on the campaign...his seven-and-a-half sacks for a total loss of 31 yards easily led all Kent State defenders and was good for seventh in the MAC...posted seven stops against Eastern Michigan on Nov. 17...career-high nine tackles (five solo) and two of the sacks came in Kent State's first win on Sept. 16 at Miami...original plans called for him to be redshirted, but Doug Martin decided against it saying, "we just couldn't keep him off the field"...one of eight true freshmen to earn a varsity letter.

An accomplished football player and wrestler at Chardon High School...earned first-team All-Premier Athletic Conference honors for Hilltoppers as a senior when he posted 67 tackles, including 27 tackles for losses, six quarterback sacks and seven pass deflections...earned three varsity letters in football and two in wrestling...was second-team All-PAC and took sixth place at the district meet in wrestling at 189 pounds...earned Academic All-PAC honors for both football and wrestling...was coached by Jim DiPofi.
