2016 JUNIOR SEASON
• Put together the most decorated season by any player in Kent State history
• Set the nation's lowest ERA in more than 30 years with a 0.69 while going 10-2
• Struck out 125 batters while walking just 28 in 104.0 innings and 15 starts
• Had three complete games and three shutouts
• After opening the season against reigning CWS champion Virginia, went nine straight starts without giving up more than one earned run
• Went 7.0 innings at Radford with five hits, one walks and six strikeouts
• Was named the National Player of the Week after a 13 strikeout performance at Liberty. Gave up just three hits and one walk while not allowing a run in 8.1 innings
• Followed that performance with 11 strikeouts against CMU, 11 against WMU and ten against Toledo in next three starts
• Threw complete game shutout win against Toledo on April 8 with just two hits and no walks
• In no-hitter at Bowling Green on May 13, did not walk or hit a batter while striking out 13 in nine innings. Needed just 109 pitches to accomplish the feat
• Had another complete game shutout in the MAC Tournament with four hits, three walks and nine strikeouts against Eastern Michigan on May 25
2015 SOPHOMORE SEASON
• Led the team with a 1.98 ERA, compiling a 5-3 record in 15 appearances with 13 starts, 103 strikeouts and 26 walks in 86.1 innings
• Had a seven-game streak of allowing one earned run or less while lasting at least 5.1 innings
• Held opposing hitters to a .203 batting average
• First start of the season was a 3.1 inning outing at Baylor on February 21
• Against top-25 Illinois on March 1, earned his first win of the year after 5.0 relief innings with two hits, no runs, one walk and six strikeouts
• Allowed just one earned run while striking out 10 in 5.2 innings at Liberty March 7
• Threw shutout baseball in 7.0 innings with no walks and seven strikeouts against Rider March 14
• Had another 7.0 inning outing against Ball State with one run, three hits and 11 strikeouts
• Best outing of his career came at Miami on April 26. Threw a complete game, four-hit shutout with one walk and 12 strikeouts
• Recipient of the Ty Youngen Memorial Baseball Scholarship
2014 FRESHMAN SEASON
• Earned the Friday starting role and went on to post a 3.26 ERA and 8-4 record in 80.0 innings with 15 appearances, 14 starts. Struck out 64 batters while walking 36 and held offenses to a .204 batting average
• Led the team in wins while winning the first three games he appeared in
• First career appearance was in relief at Arizona. Threw 2.2 innings with one hit, one run, one walk and one strikeout to earn first career win
• First career start was against Coppin State on Feb. 23. Went 5.0 scoreless, hitless innings with one walk and three strikeouts
• Had career-high seven strikeouts for the first time against Liberty. Pitched 6.2 innings
• Longest outing was in MAC Tournament against Western Michigan. Went 7.2 innings with six hits, one earned run, four walks and five strikeouts to earn the win
• Awarded Chet Williams Baseball Scholarship
PRIOR TO KENT STATE
• Was the 505th overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays
• Lettered four years at Midview High School under head coach Scott Jalowiec
• Team won the conference championship in 2012 and 2013
• As a senior, was team captain, All-County, All-Conference, First Team All-State, team MVP, Pitcher of the Year and Lorain County D1 Player of the Year
• Was named team captain, All-County, All-Conference, Conference MVP and Honorable Mention All-State as a junior
• Sophomore year was team captain, All-County, All-Conference, team MVP and offensive Player of the Year
• Also lettered two years in football where as a senior he was named Second Team All-State and was named Third Team All-State and Offensive Player of the Year as a junior
• Holds all the school's receiving records in football
• Played summer ball for the North Coast Gladiators
