- Assistant Coach - Pole Vault
Lauren Zaglifa enters her first season as the pole vault coach for Kent State Track and Field. Prior to arriving at Kent State, Zaglifa was an assistant coach for cross country at Western Kentucky University – where she led the men’s and women’s teams to all conference finishes during the 2025 season.
It was also during this time that Zaglifa founded the “Galaxy Gymnastics” USAG competitive team in Bowling Green, Ky. She served as the Director of Gymnastics and oversaw classes ranging from ages 3-18.
Zaglifa’s first coaching experience came at University of Wisconsin - Stephen's Point, where she was a graduate assistant for the men’s and women’s track and field teams. She served as the pole vault coach, director of operations, and founded UWSP Track Clinics – which offered event specific training for high school students.
Zaglifa owns a master’s degree in general education from UWSP. She is also an alumnus of Marshall University, where she holds a bachelor's degree in health science with a minor in English.
