2007: Named to All-Mid-American Conference Second Team...started in all of Kent State’s 50 games...established career-highs in almost all offensive categories...finished second on the team in RBI (25) and third in hitting (.329), home runs (5) and runs scored (28)...had an 11-game hitting streak from March 30 - April 20...had an eight-game hitting streak during final stretch of regular season...smacked two hits in 14 different games...homered in three straight games against Akron (4/13) and double header vs. Ohio (4/14)...went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI at Toledo (3/31)...hit .368 in conference play going 5-of-6 on stolen base attempts.
2006: One of four Golden Flashes to appear in all 57 games in 2006...hit a robust .455 against Youngstown State with five hits in 11 at bats including two doubles, two home runs, four RBI and four walks in four games...showed more patience at the the plate with a career-best 17 walks...ranked third on the squad in stolen base attempts (10), stolen bases (seven), and walks (17) and fourth in runs scored (25) and doubles (nine)...her seven bases in 10 attempts established career-highs in both categories...handled 54 chances in left field with one error (.981).
2005: Appeared in 27 games, starting eight...recorded two hits and two runs scored.
High School: Led the Lakewood Lancers to a regional runner-up finish in 2004...member of the 2002 state runner-up squad...was a three-time all-league first team selection...earned Player of the Year honors her senior year...was an all-district and all-state selection...batted .506 with 33 RBI in 2004...earned three letters in volleyball and basketball...played club ball for the Central Ohio Stingrays.
Personal: Born Feb. 6, 1986...is the daughter of Carmela and Marvin Houk...has a younger brother, Kyle and two younger sisters, Caitlin and Kaleigh...is majoring in zoology.
