Jackson Van Eekeren joined the Kent State Volleyball staff as an assistant coach in April 2023.
Van Eekeren brings championship experience and a volleyball pedigree with him to the Golden Flashes' program.He was a five-year team member at Hawaii, which included the 2021 national championship season. The Rainbow Warriors won nearly 85% of their matches during his five seasons as a student-athlete. He earned a spot on the 2019 Big West Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
The Naperville, Illinois native was a three-year varsity player Benet Academy, where he played for his mother who was a Division I volleyball student-athlete at Illinois. He he was twice an All-East Suburban Catholic Conference performer. Van Eekeren also compete in USA High Performance during his prep years.
Van Eekeren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Finance concentration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in May 2020 and completed a Master of Science in Finance in July 2021.
