• 2009 PrepVolleyball.com High School All-America selection at Eden High School under head coach Stephen Pierce.
• Named to the All-Western New York squad as a senior in addition to being named all-conference three years.
• Helped guide the Raiders to three state titles.
• Played for the Niagara Frontier Club Volleyball, winning a regional championship and Western Empire title under head coach Stephen Pierce.
• Also competed in basketball and softball at Eden, earning basketball team MVP honors three years.

• Born Sept. 26, 1992.
• Daughter of John and Heidi Herc. Siblings are Hailee and Hayden. Hailee enters her freshman season as a swing hitter for the Stony Brook volleyball program in 2010.
