Dr. Kyle Nelman

Kyle Nelman, M.D. is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon for Kent State University Athletics, specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, as well as total joint replacement. A native of Northeast Ohio, Dr. Nelman played basketball at Otterbein College, where he received his undergraduate degree. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2005, then returned to Akron where he completed his residency in orthopaedics at Summa Health System. Following residency, Dr. Nelman participated in a one-year fellowship in sports medicine at the Sports Clinic in Laguna Hills, Calif., before returning home and joining Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center.
