Kaylee Koller’s career night led a spectacular defensive effort for Kent State on Saturday vs. Akron to help the Golden Flashes pick up a critical victory and finish the weekend unbeaten. Against the Zips, Koller totaled a career-best 30 digs, which is the second-best individual performance on the team this season, as the Golden Flashes bettered the Zips by 22 in the statistical category. The energy Koller and the defense provided throughout the match proved to be the difference, as Kent State was able to pull out the victory in 5 sets. Akron hit just .083 overall and .000 in the final set. Koller finished the weekend with a 4.3 digs per set average as the Flashes
